Governing Body Resolutions passed in 2008-09

Resolution No. 263 passed in the 35th meeting of the Governing Body held on 5.8.2008
"Resolved that M/s Sanjay Salig & Co., Chartered Accountants, be appointed as Statutory Auditors for the year 2008-09 at consolidated remuneration of Rs. 57,000/- (Rupees Fifty Seven Thousand only) per annum inclusive of service tax as applicable."

Resolution No. 262 passed in the 35th meeting of the Governing Body held on 5.8.2008
"It is resolved and approved that subject to adequate demand, IRWO may set up a Senior Citizen Home in NCR having broad features mentioned in the Agenda item and frame detailed rules for its operation and management. The rules so framed by IRWO shall be put up to the Governing Body for approval."

Resolution No. 261 passed in the 35th meeting of the Governing Body held on 5.8.2008
"It is resolved that Para 21.5 (c) of IRWO General Rules may be amended to read as under:-
21.5(c): Processing charges as decided from time to time, except that no processing charges will be realized for inclusion of the name of the spouse in ownership documents at any time."

Resolution No. 260 passed in the 35th meeting of the Governing Body held on 5.8.2008
"Resolved that as a special case, where due to court case, construction could not be taken up on three plots of Allahabad project, the plots may be allotted to the applicants, who will construct the houses themselves according to the plan approved by Allahabad Development Authority."

Resolution No. 259 passed in the 35th meeting of the Governing Body held on 5.8.2008
"It is resolved that in modification to Para 28.1 of IRWO General Rules, sale and transfer of dwelling units to other than members of IRWO may be permitted:-
i) Any time within 2 years prior to retirment, or
ii) 3 years after possession, or
iii) In case of allotment of dwelling unit after retirement, 3 years after possession, or
iv) Without any restriction of time in case of demise of allottee."

Resolution No. 258 passed in the 35th meeting of the Governing Body held on 5.8.2008
"Resolved that Para 20.1 of IRWO General Rules be amended as under:-
a) If a member who has deposited Commitment money in response to a Demand Survey withdraws from the scheme within one year of the closing of the Demand Survey or before the publication of the Scheme Brochure, whichever is earlier, 10% of the amount deposited will be forfeited and balance will be refunded without interest.
b) If a member withdraws from the scheme after one year of the closing of the Demand Survey but before publication of the Scheme Brochure, no amount will be forfeited and the entire money will be refunded without interest.
c) If a member withdraws from the scheme after publication of the scheme Brochure irrespective of time, 10% of the commitment money deposited by him will be forfeited and balance will be refunded without interest."

Resolution No. 257 passed in the 35th meeting of the Governing Body held on 5.8.2008
"Resolved that present rate of equalization charges be increased from 7% to 10.5% per annum. The revised rate of equalization charges will come into effect in case of those joining the IRWO schemes from 1.8.2008 onwards."

Resolution No. 256 passed in the 35th meeting of the Governing Body held on 5.8.2008
"Resolved that:-
- Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 be implemented from 1.4.2008 for all personnel on roll as on 1.4.2008 in IRWO.
- Gratuity Fund be created from which payment of gratuity would be made.
- Gratuity for the past period up to 31.3.2008 amounting to Rs. 51.18 lakhs may be contributed from General Reserve Fund to Gratuity Fund in a single installment.
- Gratuity provision shall be calculated annually and transferred to the Gratuity Fund."
