It works under the patronage of the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, for the purpose of providing housing to serving and retired railway employees on “ No Profit No Loss” basis.

    Kota Group Housing Scheme


    IRWO had launched its Rail Vihar Residential Scheme having about 167 independent plots. 113 Single-storied dwelling units of four types have been launched in Phase-I. The construction of these units is already in progress along with construction of common development works, namely, internal roads, water supply, sewerage, drainage and external electrification. Construction of a community center and park shall also be done.

    Applications are invited from eligible applicants for sale of fifty four plots of land in Blocks A, B and C numbering from 1 to 54, in the above said residential complex. Land is on lease from Urban Improvement Trust (U.I.T), Kota, to IRWO. The sale of the plot of land on lease shall be by way of transfer of “Patta” from IRWO to the successful applicant, after permission from U.I.T, Kota

    The site is located on Goner Road in Sector -37 of Jaipur Development Authority’s (JDA’s) planned residential area at Jagatpura, Jaipur (Rajasthan).     IRWO had acquired 3.99 hectare land at villages Salivada and Kosamghat, Jabalpur (M.P.) and launched its Rail Vihar residential scheme having independent plots of three sizes with a duplex dwelling unit constructed on each plot. Earlier, the scheme was open for Primary Members of IRWO and is now open for other than IRWO members i.e BLOOD RELATIONS OF IRWO MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES OF CENTRAL & STATE GOVERNMENTS AND THEIR PSU’S, PERSONNEL OF ARMED FORCES AND EMPLOYEES OF NATIONALISED BANKs also up-to 30/6/2017 for allotment on monthly batches basis.

    Group Housing Scheme Zirakpur

    In Zirakpur, IRWO’s project is located on Ambala Road towards Delhi about 15 KM from Chandigarh railway station. The site has come up very well as good development has taken place in the nearby vicinity. This colony has come up very nicely. All the buildings are designed for earthquake resistance. Necessary provisions have been made for firefighting, rain harvesting, sewage treatment plant and recycling of waste water.     Charging of EC from the allottees of various projects of IRWO

    At present EC is being charged from all those applicants who apply for booking of IRWO flats after issue of Booking Letter against Initial Scheme/1st Batch. EC is charged from the due date of deposit of BookingMoney/ Instalment amount as applicable to the allottees of initial scheme/1st batch upto the date of deposit by the new allottees. In order to give some relief to the new allottees following decisions have been taken:-

    1. EC for Sonepat/Kundli Phase-II, Zirakpur (Near Chandigarh) Ph.II & Asansol Ph.II which have already been frozen upto earlier date shall be payable by the new allottees.

    2. In case of Jabalpur & Moradabad Phase-III Group Housing Scheme where a very few bookings have been made so far, cost of DU as indicated in the Scheme Brochure shall be applicable on all those applicants who apply for the schemes upto 30-6-17.

    3. For other projects EC is reduced from 10.50% to 4% for the period 1st No. 2016 to 30th June, 2017 for those applicants who apply for the scheme upto 30-6-17.

    Handing Over of Possession of Sonepat near Kundli Phase-I/II Group Housing Scheme

    In this connection, we invite your attention to this office letter dated 02-01-2017 through which it was intimated that the benefit of reduction of 50% of administrative charges (Upto 30-04-2016) and delay charge (upto 31-08-2015) shall be admissible only to those allottees who take over the possesssion by 31-03-2017

    Sonepat Ph-I, Regarding defect liability period is over on 31st Aug 2015

    All the allotees who have not taken the possession of their flats in Sonepat Phase-I are requested to take over the flats immediately since defect liability period is already over on 31st August,2015, In case of any problem in flat, it may be possible to sort out the same at this stage.
